A Hundred Lovers June 24, 2020

Gary Hunter

in different times and circumstance

I would collect a hundred

jealous-free lovers

to fill the wells

of this body’s pleasure

while most daylight needs are addressed

lips and chest thighs and fingers

muscles used for every kind of embrace

grow soft in their empty nights

every so often I hear a voice

a cry from the animal inside

that says

tonight we hunt
