Dear old Friend - Oct. 30, 2020

Gary Hunter

for so long we’ve been spinning

through independent heavens

whistling through existence in

unparalleled arcs that lack an orbit

my moon has complained

that your famous pull on my ocean

of happiness has been absent and

she’s had to carry the extra burden

of hauling in shooting stars

to keep my spirits up

so dear wanderer

won’t you come visit

here are my new coordinates

why not take some time

stretch out under my 2 suns

sip some cloudless joy

and watch me surf along

the crest of your face

cutback

and carve an extra curl in your smile?
