Lightbulbs - Oct. 24, 2021

merely keep

the darkness

at bay

where moonlight

brings strangers

together

and firelight

close ones

even closer

the candle assumes

a silent dance

the twirl and wave

of flame a finger

to seduce the darkness

and your gaze

the smaller the light

the larger the mystery

the deeper the glimpse

and sound of silence
