Love Story - Aug. 30, 2023

We connected nicely over café granola, better with 3 courses at the Cheesecake Factory, ate our way through many dates and overnights, 9 months later moved in together, bought a charming bungalow in the Hollywood Hills, picked up a shelter puppy, pulled on each other’s strengths and grew close, pushed on weaknesses and drifted apart, came back, found fingers for two rings, moved to Palm Springs, five years moves slower than ten, ten crawls compared to twenty, almost thirty and days whiz by like a train skipping stations, each month – a long glance out the window, we grow older, slower, one slips the other falls, puzzling aches, sudden pains, bone on bone, naps never missed, early to bed, another anniversary skipped, a pair of sighs, today, a cloudy dawn, orange/pink sunset and here we are.
