On this shifting battlefield of you and I and them foxhole companions come and go midnights can tear us wide open while dawns heavily stitch the

fleshless wounds everyone endures

desolation isolation friendlessness

aloneness abandonment I’m lobbing you a ration of joy now and will always spare what I can


Just remember

we are only lonely in one world
