Soup and 60 Minutes - Dec. 29, 2024

our Sunday tradition

grilled cheese and tomato soup

and stories with ingredients

from around the world

narratives nicely plated

and served warmly

on the TV above

the slow-burning fire

nourishing like tales around

a campfire blowing on a bowl

of chili still bubbling on the grill

a detour from our lives

to sit and eat quietly

the sigh and sustenance needed

at the end of the week

a dinner more for the soul

than the sinews
