I don’t know if any of you

ever had a spiritual teacher

but the one I had didn’t always

engage in discourses on deep truths

I remember one time he said

bring your own booze because

this afternoon we’re toasting life

in a large grove of eucalyptus

then meeting in a field

where you will leave

most of your clothes

on the sidelines and

choose sides so we

can get down

to some serious

drunken football
