You Think Words get Lonely Too? Dec. 11, 2023

a noun without any adjective

a verb without a modifier

a subject lacking an object

to pal around with

maybe worse is to be

left alone on a line

it’s a cold world

without companionship

but then again

what if a word deserves

to take a bow

after a command performance?

and there are those

kept away from others

for the soul purpose of

rushing at them with   “Surprise!”

with balloons attached to every letter

that deliver backslaps and hugs

I guess in the end

it is rare to see words isolated

Being the highly social

Pack animals that they are
